Just wanted to say thanks to the creators of the app and also everyone whoā€™s posted so much great info. I received a cutting a couple of months ago and itā€™s nice to see so many others interested in cultivating kratom and sharing their experience.

What kratom did for me

I could sit here all day and detail the many ways my life has improved in the past 3 years, but I wont..
My name is Jennifer VanBlunk. I'm 38, and i have 3 years drinking kratom tea.
It all started with a question from an friend that went to the same suboxone doctor... sitting in the waiting room, she asked me if I ever heard of kratom.. I hadn't, and she explaineddit was supposed to be good for withdrawl.. I didnt fully believe it,because I know what WD feels like.. I didnt think ANYTHING but opiates/subs soothed that beast inside. I'm happy to be here totday to tell you I was wrong in that assumption ..

I tried some OPMS from a popular head shop here in Philly, Wonderland.. 15 capsules for $45. Crazy, right?? Pills are cheaper.. so are subs.. add to it they didnt work at all, and i took the entire bag in one day.. it was such a waste of money, but still was a learning experience that comes in handy to this day.

Cut to about 6 months later, I ran into an old friend from high school.. turned out she went through a pill addiction also, and currently she was using kratom on a daily basis.. she ga e me some she ordered from online, and she walked me through the basics.. I felt ok, but i wasn't fully trusting of the tea..

Cut to a few months after that, and my knee gave out on me on new years day(big parade in philly, walking all day long).. I was a little buzzed but i made it home and the next morning i couldn't walk on it.. it's happened before, and I didnt go to the hospital because I know theres nothing they can do.. I gave in and took a 20mg oxycontin(suboxone for 5 years prior to this day,the pain pill should've worked) and it didnt do anything.. I was in a lot of pain, and I remembered the testimony I read on FB about how great a painkiller it was.. I still had some my friend had given me, but i never took it all.. so i took a tsp of red hulu.. 20 minutes later, i was pain free, sitting with my leg elevated and happily watching some brainless show on tv.. I was blown away..

All of that had to happen for me to open myself up to how truly beneficial and life saving these plants are and can be..

Theres a lot more to this story, beginning to present day, and itll continue for the rest of my life.. and i could not he happier about it.. every mistake, miscalculation, "bad things" that happened, it all got me to where i am right now, and while it's not exactly where I want to be, I'm a hell of a lot further along then I ever thought i would be...

New to growing my own in florida...

Hi all. Long time user, for spinal injury, but just got some rooted cuttings to (try to) grow my own in Florida. I have a green thumb, but am new to trying to grow Kratom. Lots to read and learn. Glad I heard about this app on Reddit. Hope to help and be helped. Thank you all...

My experience with kratom.

Hello everyone I just downloaded the new app. I am a fairly new member of the fb KDG group. I first tried kratom about three years ago I was living in North Carolina. There were a couple shops there at the time one had some weighed out in cups to dose with and gave you some juice to toss and wash. I guess I should mention I use it for back pain. Toss and wash is not a good method for me. Then a kratom tea store open and they made their own teas. I tried it once and it helped the second time it didnā€™t help much. Now fast forward to about 6 months ago Iā€™m in middle TN and a local shop stared carrying it. Capsule and powder form. My back was doing pretty good for the past couple years and hadnā€™t had to take anything for it. A year ago I starting having issues again worse than ever finally saw a neurosurgeon last fall L3-S1 all bulging spent November on mild opiates had my first epidural steroid dec 1 last year it worked good for about two months then the pain came back worse than ever. So again started on mild opiates everyday for the pain two more steroid shots that didnā€™t help at all and a myliogram and another test or two and now had minor spinal surgery a month ago. During the past six months o have used kratom numerous times in between my prescribed meds because first off they were weak and didnā€™t help a whole lot. And the kratom actually helped with some of the depression Iā€™ve been in because of the pain and the meds Iā€™ve been on. My back is slowly getting better some good days some bad days. Last week my neuro said he wonā€™t give me any more pain meds I need to get off them. I do honestly expect some minor wd from them since Iā€™ve been on them for a while but they havenā€™t been strong so Iā€™m not too worried about that. I am glad to know I have he option of kratom for a while to help with the still existing pain and to try to calm any wd I do experience. And to have the availability to fairly easily get it if I am having a bad day and hurting. My rx will be gone later tonight or first thing in the morning depending on how the rest of my day goes. Glad to be apart of the group.

HellošŸ˜. Kratom has saved my life!

I am somewhat new here. I created an account awhile back but I forgot about it until I saw it advertised in a Facebook group. So here I am!
Kratom has saved my life! I have been suffering with chronic pain from my teenage years. I have tried every medication, street drug, substance etc to find some type of relief but nothing ever worked well enough. I was drinking all the time, depressed, hopeless and in major pain until I stumbled upon kratom. I heard about it from a reddit group that I was in and that's when my life changed! I don't drink hardly at all anymore, I'm mostly pain free, my depression is much better, anxiety is better and I can actually get out of bed and do things!! I finally have the ability to function and have a future for myself and my family!!!!

What kratom has done for me

Hello! My name is Desirae and I have been safely consuming kratom for 8 years now. I suffer from autoimmune diseases and fibromyalgia. Kratom helps me live my life without pharmaceuticals. I will continue to fight for my right to choose plants over pills!! Kratom got me off Tramadol and other nasty poison!!

Still here

Still here just figuring things out. This is so confusing.

I'm still trying to figure all of this out!

I'm still learning and un/fortunately I'm a very busy man. This is the first time I've had the time or energy to actually make a post. LOL!
I can see this app turning into something big but like all things it's going to take time. I'm grateful to be a part of it and will continue to try to help it grow. I'd love to post some pics of my pants but still haven't figured out that part. I'll get there.

Thanks again!

Thank you for adding me. I use Kratom for chronic pain Iā€™ve had for over 30 years. Iā€™ve been taking Kratom for over 3 years. May take me a while to figure this all out. Again, thank you!

New to group and new to kratom

Also, since I havent ordered in months, is anyone having issues with shipping delays/usps confiscation when using domestic vendors? Thank you!!

70mg methadone to kratom, a positive experience

For six years I've been struggling with opiate addiction. Starting rather young, at 15, on heroin. after two years of being horribly dope sick every day of my life, I went to my first methadone clinic and remained on it for a year and a half. My first experience getting off it was dark and terrible. I was sick for an entire month and ended up in the ER from heart complications. I was clean ten months before my inevitable relapse (people, places and things guys! Change that shit). The second time around I ended up back at the methadone clinic after a few months of active use.

I began at 30mg and increased by 5mg every day until reaching 70mg. I did not remain on a high dose and immediatly began tapering by 3mg every week, eventually moving up to 5mg a week. The weaning process began getting difficult after reaching 50mg due to the fact I work in a high paced physical warehouse. My back hurt. My heart raced. I was sweating and emotional. After reaching 42mg I jumped off all together and stopped coming to the clinic. That was when I began taking kratom. Originally starting with a strain of yellow borneo, I'd take about 5-8g every four to five hours via homemade capsules or tea from the coffee maker. (Kratom tastes horrible, but you can make it in a coffee maker, just send it through at least twice, not more than three times, to ensure proper potency. I'd just plug my nose and chug it after mixing herbal tea and honey into it.) I am a small person, only about 108 lbs. Experiment with dosing. You will be pleasantly surprised how much relief you can get. I was taking anti convulsants while I was on methadone. I stopped both at the same time and began having quite a bit of muscle spasms. Kratom would stop it every time. I honestly couldn't tell I was detoxing, I was fully functional, just a little tired, a little weak, a little shakey but not when properly dosed with kratom. My bad habit was not taking it habitually. I recommend taking a set dose at set times through out the day. Don't wait until you begin to feel bad first. Just keep a steady consumption of it. It's been two weeks now and I feel stronger every day. This has been the easiest detox of my life and it used to send me to the ER from how bad symptoms would get. I couldn't breathe, my bones collapsed, I'd be drenched in sweat begging for death. This time...it was easy. I recommend kratom to anyone getting off methadone.

Hello All!

Just a quick hello from Ohio!
My wife and I lhave lived in Ohio our entire lives. We own a Kratom shop and find ourselves educating people about Kratom on a daily basis. We are quite political and tend to associate with many that hold political office. On April 5 we will be having dinner with Mike Dewine and hope to grab his ear and discuss the opiod epidemic and Kratom and how it changes lives. I find most of our customers take Kratom for a variety of reasons and each has a unique story of what lead them to the Kratom community. We have seven children three dogs two cats and my wife has OCD. I constantly tell her we dont live in a museum but sometimes it feels like it. We have developed several relationships in the last two years in Indonesia and get our product straight from the source. Good luck all keep up the good fight.

Good morning!

Hi! I am Judie, aka Piglett on FB. I am 62, and hubby and I have been using kratom since 2015. We live in Georgia.
I am a mesh survivor, as well as a MRSA survivor, however, those two things left me in constant pain. The MRSA liquified my spine. I was in bed for a year. I took a lot of pain meds, though I must admit, they did not control my pain, but every day I thanked God I had them.
After they fixed my spine properly and finally got the MRSA under control, they told me there was just too much damage done, and I would always be in pain.
I spent the first year weaning myself off of the narcotics, very slowly, but before my surgeon released me. I had friends who had gone to pain clinics and I was terrified of them. By now I had a hellacious fear of doctors. Yet, I had to have something for pain.
I researched online, and came across kratom. We got some, I started using it, and I had less pain. As time went on I got stronger. I went through 2 years of Post Acute Withdrawal, though I do not have an addictive personality. I believe kratom helped with my depression, anxiety, and mood swings during that time. I have not had a pain prescription in 4 years. I have also not increased my kratom dosage, which is a tsp at a time, every 3 to 6 hours depending on my body.
I have a lot of tools in my pain toolbox, and kratom is the one I use most. I am very thankful for it.

NEW - Please Help

Hi everyone - my name is Jeremy from South Florida. I was a college athlete of many extreme sports. I unfortunately was injured many times but never listened to the Dr.'s about slowing down. After a car accident in 1997 that almost paralyzed me - I had such severe pain that I could barely walk. I tried everything under the sun before taking pain meds because from the time I was a child and had problems being put under anesthesia or numbed at the dentist knowing that they had to use 2 to 3 times what normal people would get and many Dr's refused to operate on me until I finally got a letter from a prominent anesthesiologist. It wasn't until recently that one of the genes that causes us to metabolize pain drugs was suggested as DEFECTIVE by a researcher that I went to at the University of Miami.
The PM Dr. introduced me to Oxycontin and it was great. I finally found a pain killer that would not make me high due to the time release and it allowed me to lead a normal life. I've been through 17 Dr.'s since 1995 and the only thing they think would cure me is surgery - but the warning I always get is I could also be left paralyzed or diminished capacity. The ONLY thing I would consider is Laser Spine Surgery. That has the lowest risk for me - but they want $15k for my upper back and $20k for my lower back. I don't have that money. FAST FORWARD to today and the Pain Management Dr. I see told me I need to DRASTICALLY reduce the opiates I am on because Medicare came up with a BULLSHIT artificial number of morphine equivalency that they say is the maximum "suggested" amount a patient should take. It's BULLSHIT because they are basing that on a "New" patient. I have been on these drugs for 20 years. There should have been a grandfather clause. UNDERSTAND THIS - if it wasn't costing me a fortune to take these meds(over a thousand a month), and the dumbass government would stay out of my treatment that works for me - I would stay on this. I do not abuse it - I do not get high on it - I take it safely at all times and I NEVER take more than I am prescribed. BUT all these drug addicts, Dr.'s and criminals that destroyed "prescription pain pills" for those of us that are legitimate - I hope they get what they deserve - DEATH. I say this because of them I have lost 4 friends and a cousin - all who were NEVER abusers until they could not get their legal prescriptions any longer - 3 of them died of extremely high doses of FENTANYL that came from the FUCKING POUROUS MEXICAN BORDER - they (3 frineds) all died in a 15 day period - all living in San Diego - all who got the "Mexican" Oxycodone pills - 500 pills for $150 and they looked very real. We haven't seen the official report, but one of the investigators said they tested 40 pills and amongst other things there was very little amounts of Oxycodone found, there were industrial chemicals they use in plastics manufacturing and the highly addictive substance FENTANYL was in there. The astonishing thing he said was the inconsistency from pill to pill. Some had traces - some had enough to kill every cow on a Texas Cattle Ranch.
My cousin died New Years 2018, living in central Florida, went from being a successful IT guy, making $100k/yr to unemployed, then sold his two cars, and his home went into foreclosure Christmas 2017 - the last time I saw him. He was shooting up a fortune in Heroin and they also found Cocaine. I begged him - even offered to split my pills with him, but he was too far gone and it sickens me that here he was taking it as prescribed and had it not been for these Dr.'s, his insurance company and these agencies just cutting him down in one fell swoop to almost nothing, he would be here. Basically, the problem is no one is looking at him, me and millions of others as an individual with a problem.
This New Years - I was alone as my fiancƩ' was in NY with her ill parents and I'm not crazy religious, but it was a year since my cousin passed an knowing from my December visit with my PM Dr. that he was going to implement this new rule about cutting my meds in March, I LITERALLY asked GOD to please not let me suffer through addiction withdrawal, to please find an answer for my pain, find a way for me to live a normal life. I begged him to not let me wind up like my cousin Sid.
So around the end of January, I was looking for a good documentary to watch on NETFLIX. I saw this film called A LEAF OF FAITH. It was amazing - I could not have asked for a better answer to my prayer (I HOPE). ***So I am planning on ordering some ASAP - but I need help from someone who can tell me 1)What strain to get 2)What will take the withdrawal symptoms away best 3)Is it better to take the powder or the tablet and MOST IMPORTANTLY - 4)What dosage should I take and what is the maximum. Is there anything written that can help me understand how best to use this? So to answer me you will need to know what I am taking: 1) I am taking one 80mg Oxycontin 3 times a day 2) I also take anywhere from 1 to 4 30mg of Oxycodone a day for BREAKOUT PAIN or what I call PAIN FLASH-STORMS(Burning Pain in LOWER Back). 3) For my Migraine headaches I take FIOROCET w/Codeine as needed - 3 to 5 times a month. 4) When my back gets stiff and I can't straighten out - I take a SOMA 1 to 3 times a week.*** My Dr. has told me that at the amounts he is going to be forced to cut me to next week - I will more than likely only be left with the 30mg tablets and he has a Bupenorphine product called Belbuca that he says will help with the withdrawals (because it is a class 3 schedule drugā€¦.it doesn't count against the Oxycodone. It is my STRONG hope KRATOM is the answer. At this point - I have decided that if KRATOM can get me to the point to eliminate the opioids - I will. I would much rather be taking something all natural. I don't have the money to continue. I would rather do something else with it. I will be donating to the AKA once I get started.
***If Someone could PLEASE help me I would appreciate it. Like I said above - the most important thing I need to know is what dosage to take.*** I will be Video Documenting my transition from the amount of Oxycontin/Oxycodone to KRATOM - I am hoping that I can demonstrate and help validate that this is a method that works. GOD Bless all of you that have fought for this supplement and all of us that have suffered from pain.

New to the Forum

Hi everybody. I'm new to the forum - heard about it on the Facebook group. I've been using kratom for about a year for chronic pain and I've learned a lot on the various Facebook groups. Always looking to learn more!

Source

I introduced myself awhile ago, but...

Since I wrote my introduction, I have not been able to find it.
So I am going to aim to do so again.

I'll start off with the fact that I am the State of California captain.
Since the legislature drop in day in November, which was life experience and major eye opener, of itself!
Since then I have been honored by being asked to be an admin here.

A lot of people may know me from Facebook, or Twitter.
I also helped coordinate and spoke at the California Rally in Sacramento
I'm an admin for a couple of groups on Facebook, but am not sure how long those groups will remain.

A little about myself; at 16, I was a lifeguard and got my foot caught in a hole, on the outside of a pool, when I needed to get to a young boy, fast.
I had a cast put on too tight and it killed the nerves and cut off the circulation.
240 + operations, 3 amputations, pulmonary embolism (2), every vertebrae is either broken, fractured or collapsed. A partial hip replacement and the other side is needed, as is my knee.
10 bouts of osteomyletis, well 11 now.
CRPS, full body, with organ involvement/failure and the damage to my nervous system has reached my brain, affecting my cognitive abilities

But before April 29th, 2017 as I was exiting my home, to end my life ( 40 years of sheer hell, meds suddenly stopped in Nov 2016), by April, I was done!

Not because I wanted it that way, by any means. But my mailman met me on my doorstep, with my first package of kratom.
Before that, I had been bedridden for 10+ years, on deathsdoor, far too many times to count. You all can fill in the " other perks" of chronic pain/ illness/ mental illness.
About 12 years after the injury, I had my first amputation, 2 months later I was in college, a year later, accepted into A major University, which also had medical school.
2, a little over 2 months shy of my M.D. I had to take a medical leave of absence and wasn't able to return.

Since Kratom, I am pretty much out of bed every day, been out of the house, I WENT CAMPING ( only 1 night, but I DID ITšŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜). I have my daughter and grandkids back in my life. I have a man whom I love ( we're experiencing some trials since I am no longer 100 % dependent on him for every single thing, but we'll seeā£)
I have HOPE, QUALITY OF LIFE AND After 40 years, I no longer have that GREY veiled, shell of existence-
AFTER not being expected to reach the age of 25,... 35.. and most definitely not beyond 45..
I'll soon be 56. So I will have to think of something else to say, because for the last year, I have been saying "I'm 55 and ALIVE."
Well so much for short; yet for those who know me, aren't surprised by this! šŸ™„

For those who wonder, Dijon is also A womans name...
You pronounce it MUS- TARD
.. šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ NO, it's pronounced DEON
BUT I answer to many names.. lol
I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Out of curiosity, if any Ca residents are in here, would you please introduce yourselves to me?

Thank you

Hi I'm new here

Hi, I'm here because my partner has severe pain issues and had found kratom to be a useful tool in helping him.
He has chronic back pain and fibromyalgia.
I was a member of other groups on fb that for some reason unknown to me, have disappeared.
I'm a big proponent of having freedom of choice and that of course, includes our choices regarding our health.

New here too

New here did an article on kratom and was intrigued by its potential so came to learn more. Never tried it just learning and see what it can do for me.

A Coordinated National Communications Plan

Earlier today I posted an opinion on the Forum. I'm a successful businessman, writer, and researcher. I am passionate about protecting our right to use Kratom. It has proved extra-ordinately beneficial to me in managing chronic pain from spinal stenosis. I know from personal experience it is far superior to the 4 1000/200 Vicopropen tablets combined with a 10mg Butrans patch I was using in 2017.
I am here to learn and to help in the fight to keep Kratom out of the clutches of the FDA and Big Pharma.

Good Morning Greetings from Oregon ā˜ŗļøŽ And a big Thank You for all your hard work to keep this healing plant legal in our country! Like many others, I started using it to wean myself off of pain meds and learned along the way how valuable it is for mood and energy. About a year into taking around 3-5 grams per day in the mornings, I decided to begin the process of stopping my anti-depressants. Another year later and I'm done with pharmaceuticals, feeling better and managing both pain and depression naturally. As my local vendor is having supply issues, I'd like to access the safe vendor list on this site and am having trouble locating it. Please advise, Thanks!
